I just had a lovely conversation with a brother pastor. A couple of members are in nursing homes in a nearby town (in Wyoming the “next town over” is an hour away.) He was wondering if I would like him to give them pastoral care.
Now, I do stop by once every 4-8 weeks, but it’s nice to know that there is another pastor who is on the scene in case of emergency, who will be known to these saints, and who will bring them the Gospel and the comfort it brings to them in their time of trial.
It’s also good to know that the Gospel they receive will be the pure spiritual milk of the word.
